ELIGIBILITY & MEDIA
Original work in Video, Video and Media Installation, New Media, Experimental Media, Digital Motion Media. There is no entry fee for submission. Work originally created in either digital or analog format is acceptable. Duration may not exceed 10 minutes per piece, and pieces under 5 minutes preferred. There is no minimum duration.
All work must be available for a period of up to two years. Artists will be notified of the schedule in the case a piece is selected for additional exhibition.
Work in all video art styles will be considered, including shorts, experimental, poetic, narrative, abstract, documentary, music, animation, and installation. Most exhibitions will present accepted single channel works on a loop with other artists/pieces, although venues reserve the option to present pieces on individual monitors if they prefer. Some shows are looking for vertical format pieces, silent pieces, or pieces addressing an exhibition theme.
VIDEO + MEDIA INSTALLATION
In addition to single channel video, artists who work in installation are encouraged to submit pieces which incorporate video or digital media. A short proposal should be sent with the entry form for installation pieces, including dimensions, materials, equipment, audio, and photographs of this or previous installation work. Some venues may prefer installation pieces which are silent or use headphones.
NEW MEDIA + EXPERIMENTAL MEDIA
New media works that are screen- and time-based, including video art, experimental documentary, animation, computational/statistical art, surveillance, social engagement, sound pieces, or any single or multiple-channel work. Website/net based projects and game design will be considered, however not all venues can guarantee internet access so pieces which can be presented offline may be preferred.
DIGITAL MOTION MEDIA
Works of animation, web design, game design, and other media-based mediums will be considered, however not all venues can guarantee internet access so pieces which can be presented offline may be preferred. Exporting as an AVI
or MOV file to be presented in video format is preferable. Other formats will be considered on a case by case basis.
EXHIBITIONS AND EVENTS for which your work will be considered include:

WINDOW VIEW video presentations around town, in store widows, on the sides of buildings, and in unexpected places. Vertical and horizontal format will be considered. Silent pieces may be preferred for some installation locations. Videos presented as part of ARTS ON DIVISION FESTIVAL, Somerville, NJ, June 18-21, 2015.

Please include with your entry:
1. Each entry must be submitted as an AVI or MOV file. Please name each file with artist’s name followed by work title.
examples: john_doe__title_of_piece.MOV jane_doe__title_of_piece.AVI
Files must be full quality resolution appropriate for presentation. If selected, the file you send is what will be use for the exhibition reel or installation. Entries with file resolution too low for quality presentation will not be considered.
2. PDF file of your resume, bio, and/or artist statement (at least one).
3. One or two JPG file stills from your video, to be used for press, promo, web, etc.
4. Completed entry form.
5. Please put all files into one folder and Zip/Compress this folder before submitting your entries.
6. Post your zipped/compressed folder to Dropbox and email a link for access and download to email@example.com -OR- send your zipped/compressed folder using www.wetransfer.com to firstname.lastname@example.org. Entries are accepted as files only. We are not able to accept DVDs or Tapes.
Each venue will coordinate compilation of pieces selected for their exhibition or event. Venues may retain copies of all work for their archives, for promotion, and for educational purposes. Stills from videos, or photographs of installation pieces, may be used for promotion, press, and publication.
PUBLICITY & SALES
The exhibition and event venues reserve the right to reproduce stills and video excerpts for purposes of documentation, publicity, press, and promotion. Some venues may take a commission on sales, please see the links to more informationabout each show for amounts and more details.
LIABILITY & INSURANCE
Artwork will be handled with care. Do not send original tapes or media. All media submitted for these exhibitions are
considered copies and are not covered as original artwork. Installation work will be covered on a case by case basis
between the artist and the exhibiting venue. The artist must have all rights and copyrights to the artworks being submitted. It is the artist’s responsibility to obtain any required rights and to pay all fees for rights of use.
DELIVERY OF ACCEPTED WORK
Accepted installation pieces will be coordinated by each venue directly with the artist. The artist is responsible for
transportation of the work via a shipping company or US Mail. Pieces must be received by the delivery deadline for
inclusion in the exhibition.
Submission to the exhibition shall constitute agreement to all terms of this prospectus.
